Tóm tắt While artificial intelligence-based chatbots have shown significant potential in supporting writing, little is known about students’ acceptance of DeepSeek in EFL writing contexts. Grounded in the Unified Theory of Technology Acceptance and Use 2 (UTAUT2), this study aims to explore international students’ acceptance of DeepSeek and identifies key influencing factors. To achieve this, a questionnaire survey was conducted with 100 international students at a public university in Vietnam, revealing a moderate level of acceptance among the participants, with constructs such as performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, and hedonic motivation positively influencing acceptance while social influence, price value, and habit might present challenges, contributing to the growing body of literature on DeepSeek integration, particularly within higher education EFL contexts.
